School invites Mayfield Community to their Nativity Play

The children of Henry Prince School and Nursery would like to welcome the Mayfield community to their Christmas Play at the Memorial Hall. The performances are on 4th December at 2 pm and 5th December at 6.30 pm. Tickets are just £2.50. You can buy them at the school office or pay on the door.

The children have been working very hard at rehearsals and would love as many people as possible to watch their performance. We hope to see all our friends and neighbours from throughout Mayfield there.

The Henry Prince Christmas Fair

The Henry Prince PTFA are holding their popular Christmas Fair on Saturday 24th November in the Mayfield Memorial Hall. Everyone is invited between 1 and 3 pm and, like last year, we look forward to meeting many people from Mayfield, Ashbourne and further afield there.

This year there will be craft stalls, tea, coffee, cakes, games, our famous raffle with loads of prizes (including packs of beer) and, of course, the magical Santa’s Grotto.

Please come along and support our fundraising. Buy some Christmas presents, have a go on the tombola or just pop in for a piece of cake and a cup of tea. It’s free to come in.

See you there!

Bake Off Success

The Henry Prince Bake Off was a great success with many entries from children, parents and grandparents. The vicar of Mayfield, Rev Martin Soar, judged the entries and the cakes and biscuits were then sold, along with tea and coffee, to the many people who came to see results.

There were some magnificent cakes baked – everyone who entered made a really great effort.

There was a prize for the best children’s cakes or biscuits in each class and one for the best cake baked by an adult.

The PTFA (Parents, Teachers and Friends Association), who organised the bake off, raised over £100 towards the iPad fund.

Join the Henry Prince Bake Off!

The Henry Prince Bake Off takes place on Monday 22nd of October, followed by coffee and cake sale

We’d like to invite you to come along and buy cakes and refreshments at 3.15 pm – everyone welcome, you don’t need to have children at the school.

The Bake Off is open to pupils and parents with a prize for the winner in each class and  one for the parents and guardians. It’s just £1 to enter.
